This exhibition presents a collection of charcoal drawings showing serene nudes in repose. I’m interested in how the body can communicate on a visceral level. In this series, I continue to investigate whether human behaviour is contagious by portraying figures that are relaxed, unguarded, and sincere, with the aim of engendering those same feelings in the viewer. The figures in this work are depicted using clean bold contours lines and vast negative space to create a peaceful aesthetic that compliments the subject matter.
